Micro RGB technology is an advanced image display system developed by Samsung, in which the screen is built of microscopic, self-emission LEDs that directly create light in three basic colors: red (R), green (G) and blue (B), without the need for additional backlighting or color filters.

Unlike traditional LCD/LED TVs, where the image is created by backlighting passing through layers of liquid crystals and color filters, in Micro RGB each subpixel is an independent source of light, which allows you to get the perfect black by completely extinguishing selected pixels, very high contrast, precise brightness control and no glow around bright objects. This technology combines the advantages of OLED (self-emission and infinite contrast) with the advantages of inorganic LEDs, which are more resistant to burnout and degradation, and can achieve higher peak brightness, which translates into very good visibility in bright rooms and a wide range of HDRs.

Thanks to the modular design and very small size of the diodes, it is possible to create screens with large diagonals while maintaining high resolution and a wide color palette. The Micro RGB uses advanced image processing algorithms and precise current control of each diode to ensure color uniformity and parameter stability over time.

As a result, this technology offers a very realistic image, high brightness, deep black, wide viewing angles and a long panel life, developing the MicroLED concept in the direction of direct, tricolor light emitting by each pixel.
